First, thank you for taking part in what is hopefully a fun event of discovery and community building at a time when many can't or don't want to "party" or might not have options for comradery.
There are no hard and fast rules here other than be decent and safe for the community and call out if anything isn't so we can front foot that kind of thing. It looks to be a pretty decent and rad group of broadcasters though so low stress.
As a distributed party, we are hosting a public schedule at this link showing what is now playing in terms of the parade route schedule, and linking and recommending folks to view and chat if applicable on each broadcaster's platform. We are using the RFF owncast chat as a lobby and info desk for the day. The RFF owncast will be a fallback for any gaps presenting. We will be running a simulcast of our comfy channel when not simulcasting or presenting our own events as a calm alternative for anyone that needs it at any time and/or as a chat option for any events not chat enabled. We are using the tag #NYD24Parade on fedi.
We will do out best to have posts going out on fedi. If you are on mic in your stream or via your chat it would be super rad if you plan of "winding down" a few minutes before your block ends and announcing the next event in the parade schedule and its broadcast link. If you are running a longer event or want to go longer, no drama, just make an effort to mention the next schedule event.
